李盈蓁

 

1995出生於台中。畢業於台北藝術大學美術系、京都市立藝術大學碩士班陶瓷專攻。

 

作品多以心理與物質的流動性狀態出發，來描繪人與人間的連結、斷裂與交互關係。將其經驗結合她對陶瓷材料特性的細緻研究，以土質過渡到釉質的物理與視覺轉變，創造其獨特的物質敘事。並在意識、身體與材料間進行現象學式的探索中，將過程產出的抽象繪畫重新物質化，以漿狀的陶瓷原料構築出其輕薄的、通透卻易碎的，如景一般的畫面。

Yinchen Li's practice includes ceramics, painting, and participatory/ interactive installation. She explores her ceramic material processes with fluidity through the ‘slurry’ she makes by mixing clay and glaze. Yinchen has a deep interest in human relationships and tea culture. She also devotes her ceramic research to the sociability of vessels.

 

Seeing the firing process as a changing agent, she makes raw material transform into tension and displacement states. From this outcome, she uses the visual and auditory representation of material properties to illustrate the phenomena of subtle mutated and out-of-sync communication, but also applies in her drawing.

 

The ethos of diverse Taiwanese tea culture allows her to develop her practice towards a novel type of ’tea communion’, creating an altered space-time that mediates the relations between people and orientates their bodies through the imminent sociability of the vessels she makes.
